Katelyn is our resident Southern Belle, who hails from Dry Fork, Virginia. She currently lives in Leesburg with her two much-loved (and much-spoiled) cats. In her free time, Katelyn hosts a true crime/paranormal horror-comedy podcast. On weekends, she can be found visiting local wineries and attending live theatre performances. Katelyn also loves to travel-- most recently, she's visited New Zealand and the Republic of Georgia, and she used to live in Russia!
Katelyn joined our firm in 2015 as our Client Services Director. In 2017, she became Junior Partner in the firm. In this role, she is responsible for behavioral coaching, paraplanning, and "architecting" our client experience. In addition to Katelyn's role within our firm, she proudly serves as a mentor in Advisor Group's WomenForward mentorship program, has appeared as a guest on The W Pulse podcast, and has had the opportunity to lead multiple break-out sessions at national broker-dealer conferences.
Katelyn is currently pursuing CFP® certification as well as Financial Behavior Specialist® certification through the Financial Psychology Institute, and she is committed to utilizing both her training in behavioral finance and her knowledge of the significant impact that clients' behavioral patterns can have on their overall financial health to help clients find true peace and comfort in their personal relationship with money.
Katelyn holds both her FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, in addition to being a Virginia Notary Public.
